Objet : PIPSC Election for Full Time Vice President

 Hi

I would like to express an opinion in the PIPSC Vice Presidential Election.

Having served as a Vice President for five years I have dealt with some of
the candidates and recognize what the job entails.

I feel very strongly that the best candidate for Full Time Vice President at
this time is Steve Hindle. He has served us well and with distinction for
nine years as President and while we did not always agree, I respected his
 opinion and his positions.

It goes without saying that we have serious issues facing us. Possibly the
most serious challenges that PIPSC and government employees have ever faced.
I believe that Steve is the only candidate who can assist the President to
chart these waters and move PIPSC and its members ahead.
Steve is especially adept at assisting in governance and will be an asset to
the President in running the Institute.

Some will be concerned that Steve is a retired member and my response to
this is that we should elect the person and the skill set not their status.
We have had a Auditor, a CS, a Social Worker, and an SP become Full Time
Vice President and they were not in their positions in the government as
Senior Managers yet they were elected Vice President. I feel that Steve has
proved himself a capable manager both with PIPSC as a President and in his
role in the Public Service. Remember than once elected no Full Time Vice
 President is in the worksite.

Please vote for a positive change

 David Gray
